I’ve been asked to make a speech at the Dyke March in Vancouver BC. Sylvia and I love Vancouver–we were married there when it became legal in British Columbia, years before it became legal in the U.S. So if you’re in the area, come to the march during the day (lots of entertainment at the end, music, etc.) and the reading in the evening. I’ll also be in Seattle and Port Townsend, if you’re in those areas. Tell your friends, too!

oh how I wish people here weren’t afraid to.even use ye word dyke!!! Say it! ,Claim it! Say it Loud and Say it Proud!!!
Living in North Carolina is not living in the heartland of homophobia, but the women my age (76, going on to 77) are so friggin closeted still!!! Don’t Look At Me…Don’t Draw Attention to Me by Your Presence…get the drift?
So, this proud dyke who lives to knit, spin, garden and live out loud envies you and wishes you the very best day!!!
